In an official release on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), Betr expressed disappointment that PointsBet has opted to move forward with MIXI Australia’s takeover proposal despite the advantages offered by Betr’s own proposal. Betr’s board of directors is confident that their proposal, which includes AUD 40 million in synergies, would provide more value to PointsBet compared to the revised MIXI deal.
While the MIXI proposal offers an estimated value of AUD 1.20 per share, Betr’s proposal, when factoring in the projected synergies, would deliver a value of AUD 1.33 per share instead. Betr believes that their track record in delivering shareholder value through successful acquisitions sets them apart.
Questioning PointsBet’s Decision-Making Process
Betr has raised concerns about whether PointsBet acted in good faith in evaluating the benefits of the Betr Proposal for its shareholders. PointsBet’s decision to go with the MIXI takeover has prompted Betr to question the transparency and thoroughness of the decision-making process.

Andrew Menz, CEO of Betr, firmly rejected PointsBet’s criticism of Betr’s cost synergy projections, stating that the team’s experience and track record speak for themselves. Menz expressed confidence in Betr’s ability to deliver the projected AUD 1.33 value for PointsBet shareholders based on reliable data and analysis.
