Entain plc Reports Strong Q1 2025 Results with Impressive Online Growth
Entain plc, a global leader in sports betting and gaming, has exceeded expectations in the first quarter of 2025. The company reported strong online growth and significant contributions from BetMGM, helping to maintain positive momentum.
Online Growth and Revenue
During the three months ending March 31, Entain saw a 9% year-over-year increase in total Group Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) or 11% on a constant currency basis. The company experienced significant growth in its online operations, with overall online NGR, including the U.S., rising by 12% or 15% on a constant currency basis. Online revenue outside of the U.S. also increased by 6%, beating internal expectations.

Retail performance was more modest, with a 2% increase. International markets overall grew by 5%, with strong showings in Croatia and the CEE region. Australia, however, experienced an 8% decline due to sports results favoring gamblers.
Future Outlook
Entain remains optimistic about its future, maintaining its guidance of mid-single-digit online NGR growth for 2025 and confident in meeting market expectations for EBITDA. BetMGM is targeting revenue of $2.4–$2.5 billion for the year.
